When a company wins, the business community credits the CEO.  When a company fails, they blame the CEO.  Everything filters down from the top.

Executive Coaching - CEO/Executive Teams

Since: leadership, passion, culture, work ethic, integrity, morale etc. is established and reinforced by the leader, I focus our coaching work at the place where the greatest leverage can be exerted . . . this is with the CEO.  This is why 80% of our coaching work is with the CEO.  If you try to leverage change at any level lower, it just doesn’t take hold unless the leader is leading the charge for change.

 Every client relationship begins with what is called a; “Test Drive”.  This Test Drive is a real coaching session with the CEO in his or her office.  This session is two hours in length, is completely confidential, and is offered to you at no-charge, and without obligation.

 During this first session I will show you what I have found to be the fundamental foundation to all successful companies.  This “foundation” doesn’t assure success, but it has to be present in order to set up the possibility of winning.   I have performed these Test Drives over 400 times with different CEOs during the last eight years.  In addition to this training introduction, I ask a series of probing questions to illuminate opportunities for leadership growth in the CEO.  I then engage in a real dynamic interaction which addresses the issues, opportunities and obstacles facing the CEO and his or her unique situation at that time.  At the end of this meeting, you experience the authentic value of this proprietary work first hand.  At that moment, you can decide to continue, or not.  Either decision is fine, because remember, this Test Drive is offered without obligation.

 Over the last twenty years I have created 50 modules of training/coaching that engender great leadership.  This work is proprietary, so you won’t have seen this work anywhere before.  Unlike a “training program” where we start at one place and then proceed through the material, instead, I address where you are today in your leadership, and where the company is with its execution traction, then I introduce specific modules that will empower you where you are today.

 A common statement made by our new CEO clients is that they find it difficult to find three hours in their day to commit to this work.  But after the first meeting, they see that nothing more important than the work of leveraging the power of their leadership to “manage the board” and lead their team to execution traction.  If predictable execution to stretch milestones automatically creates maximized shareholder value over time, and if I can help you uncover and ignite your leadership potential to this goal, then you are applying your time and money as a fulcrum to fulfill your responsibility.

Off-Site Empowerment

We facilitate executive team off-sites, but we do it differently than you have experienced before.  First we meet with the CEO and do an analysis of; the state of the company, the nature and personalities of the individual attendees, and finally the unique goal of your off-site.  Armed with this information we create a customized off-site program for your team.

 While we often hear that our off-sites are incredibly motivational, this is not the goal.  While motivation feels good, and leverages positive change for a short period of time, motivation just doesn’t last.  CatalystCoach instead, helps attendees how to leverage their passion, commitment, skills and potential for themselves, on their own.  This creates lasting change for the better. 

 At the end of every off-site you have a team that has broken though their unique conflicts, found a single direction they can find alignment with, and had their passion well up to the point where everyone in the room makes an individual commitment to their common objective.

 One of the first benefits of having an outside firm facilitate your next executive team offsite is that the team knows they “come to the off-site without an agenda.  The facilitator is not looked at as someone who is posturing for a promotion.  The second benefit is that an outside facilitator has done this work for hundreds of companies, so they know how to bring out what needs to be addressed and is expert at leveraging agreement.  The third benefit is that the outside facilitator, because of their objectivity is not “in the weeds” of tactical execution, thus they stay strategic, which is what an off-site should be all about.
